1. Place the plate over the valve stem in back of the valve hand wheel.
2. Pass a slotted bolt through the top slot in the hammer blow attachment and fasten the bolt to the long L strap.
3. Place the chainwheel against the front of the valve hand wheel aligning the slots of the hammer blow attachment to the holes in the plate. Put one washer (if included) on a bolt, pass the bolts through the top slot in the hammer blow attachment from the front, and through the holes in the plate. Loosely secure with a washer (if included) and nut.
4. Follow step 2 to loosely secure the 2 remaining bolts, washers (if included), and nuts.
5. Center the chainwheel and tighten the nuts securely.
